Original Australian delivered vehicle with Porsche Cars Australia Hamiltons provenance. Clear history with all state motor registries and no insurance quirks.
Describing driving a 930 is a bit like telling fish about water. You really have to be there.
Ownership is nothing like your usual super car. It just works. Everything stays fixed.

Oil changes and the usual tyre and brake updates that go with regular registration and insurance compliance. Nothing exciting, and typically this stuff happens in the course of annual Green Slip/MTO depending on where you live. It just happens and there's no greater grudge purchase than new tyres. They're round and black. Whoo!
$35,000
This stuff is *much* more interesting, and varies from something as dull as fuel filters to a complete engine rebuild, which is like root canal therapy but without the chair thing. It's spendy, but the outcome is sensational if you invest the effort to upgrade all the greasy bits nobody would otherwise see. Things like crankshafts, rods, pistons and cam train. New K27 Turbo is a must, while you're down there.
$6,500
Cars come in the colour they were painted and you'd be suffering from enduring post purchase dissonance if this wasn't a colour you liked. Don't buy a colour you think someone else will like, because eventually you'll end up cleaning and polishing *that*. There are some signs of panel work on this car, which was done with great care/honesty, but fortunately nobody decided to change the colour/paint it red. That would be sad.
$5,500
This car has a black leather interior, which is in exceptionally good condition. The door switches for power windows have been replaced and the the window winders overhauled. The window channels are new and the door hardware has been refreshed with original Porsche parts. The door locks have been re-keyed to match the original ignition key - with new valet key/spare immobiliser fob.
You could.. But Sundays were made for cars like this, and unless your commute is across State lines, the daily shuffle is like hustling a Barracuda through a school of Herring. It's an air cooled Porsche, so everything just works, but peak hour is why diesel taxis were invented.
Don't be shy. Sign up and meet kindred spirits with similar cars. That's why these clubs exist. There's even one in Tasmania, which is sure to welcome another air cooled classic. There are 600 Porsche clubs worldwide and the reason they exist isn't about the cars themselves, so much as driving them!
If standing around and looking at showroom cars is your thing, here's an eye catching example of one of the coolest, most collectible Porsches ever museumed. In recent years, resale values for Porsche 930s have risen faster than ever, but they're not going into museums. They're being owned, by drivers, who may or may not clean the engine bay with Q-tips. Much.
Join a club and learn from other owners. Air cooled Porsches are all much the same, in terms of driving technique, and the 930 is just a very fast version of this simple formula. You'll have a lot more fun following someone who's a lot better than you, in a 'slower' car than trying to figure out 911 steering on public roads. The hard way. A couple of advanced driving days is a great way to get comfortable with it all.
Just drive it. That's really the whole point. These cars are wildly entertaining, given due respect and attention to the task at hand. People describe classic drives as having 'character' but this car goes further. It has a sense of humour! There's no point to owning a car like this if you're looking for a comfy lap dog. You'll hate it, and the relationship will end in tears. Give it a good home with regular brisk walks and it may well outlive you, rather than sad partings.
This vehicle is coming on the market for the first time in 17yrs.
It has been fastidiously overhauled by Stuttgart-trained engineers using original Porsche components. 16K Km/10K miles since full motor rebuild. 118K Km/73K original miles since new.
